Ah, Versailles... The most luxurious home to many french kings and queens. And now, the it destination for the people. If you believe in magic, here your fantasy dreams will come to life! The golden gate, Marie's Antoinette's room, the chandelier room, and the infinite gardens... everything is possible here (even a 3-hour waiting line).
Ah... Versailles... A casa mais luxuosa de muitos reis e rainhas franceses. E agora, o destino predileto do "povo". Se acreditas em magia, aqui poderás vê-la tornar-se realidade! Com o portão dourado, o quarto de Maria Antonieta, o salão dos candelabros e os jardins infinitos... tudo é possível aqui (até uma fila de 3 horas).
TIPS: for people coming from Paris, the best way to the Châteaux de Versailles is by RER line C. It only takes about half an hour and it's covered by the Navigo Pass. If you intend on visiting the Châteaux, make sure you are there really early (it opens at 9am), otherwise, if you go after 1pm, you might have to wait in line for very long time. Tickets cost around €15, but if you're a student with less than 26 years old and living in the European Union, the ticket is FREE! So no need of getting in the ticket line, just go to the entrance one and show your ID card.
If you feel like only visiting the gardens, the ticket is €7 for students, although there's some hidden entrance you can go in for free... I just haven't found it yet...
DICAS: para pessoas vindas de Paris, a melhor maneira de se chegar ao Châteaux de Versailles é de comboio (RER linha C). É uma viagem de meia hora e está incluída no Passe Navigo. Se quiseres visitar o Châteaux, sugiro chegares bem cedo (as portas abrem às 9h), senão, se chegares depois da 1 da tarde, abilitas-te a ficar na fila durante horas. Os bilhetes custam à volta de €15, mas se fores estudante, com menos de 26 anos e residente na União Europeia, o bilhete é GRÁTIS! Por isso não precisas de ir para a fila dos bilhetes, basta esperar na fila para entrar e mostrar o BI.
Se quiseres visitar só os jardins, o bilhete é de €7 para estudantes (apesar de ter ouvido de uma entrada "secreta" em que se consegue entrar sem pagar... mas ainda não a descobri...).
